Dedicated to God….The one who stayed with me as a child when I was bullied and rejected; The one who stays with me now, as well. He is the One that sees what the cruelty of others can do to a heart. He sends His angels in the form of loving friends and family to reach the hurting soul. My prayer is that the bullied and rejected would reach out to God before making decisions to hurt themselves or others.
Bullying hurts. Rejection hurts. God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Praise God for His loving kindness.
I took these photos while out visiting a lovely campsite today. This duck was just precious, I was immediately in love. In a sea of brown ducks, she stood out. Enjoy. ♥
Once upon a time,
there was a snow white duck.
She tried each day to measure up,
but her quack always sounded like a cluck.
All her life she tried to fit in;
Her peers would listen and frown.
Making fun because she was different,
they turned her life upside down.
Then one day, in her unusual way,
she clucked, “I can’t take this anymore!”
As she swam away she cried a tear,
the snow white duck ached at her core
“Dearest Father in Heaven,
Please help a duck like me.
Am I really so different
that I don’t deserve a family?”
The Father smiled upon her,
and as she rounded the river’s bend,
there were other ducks; all quite different…
But in their love of the Lord they did not pretend
She swam up very slowly,
not knowing what to expect.
Very afraid to speak to them
fearing once they heard her, they’d reject.
But this was not a ‘normal’ group;
each one was different in their own way.
Brought together by God’s loving hand
they immediately accepted her and asked her to stay.
The clucking duck found a home
among others that were different, too.
Finally finding a family to love her
Her favorite? A brown duck that went “Moo.”
